June Jam, is a book that Wyatt got for his birthday
and he and Austyn loved it. The story is about kids
making strawberry jam for their dad for father's day.
And here is a picture of our strawberry jam.

Birthday Party Fun!

Austyn's cake with blueberry frosting!

The party craft was decorating boxes for their
cookies to go into to take home with them.

They cut out the cookies and while they were cooking,
the girls went on a scavenger hunt for the toppings.
Then they decorated the cookies.

It's Sugaring Season In Vermont!

The Sugar House!
I had the opportunity to go on a class field trip to a sugar house
with Wyatt's first grade class. The process is very cool!
When the sap comes from the tree it looks like
water, and has a very mild sugar taste. By boiling it down,
the water is released, and syrup is left. It takes
about 3-5 gallons of sap to get 1 qt of syrup.
