a catch up post on what we have been doing

While walking Buddy In the Cemetary near our
house, I saw this, and the artist in me was inspired,
so I took a photo, and here it is.

Here is Sydnie after a long day at a Dance Competition!

Just a little stretching!

This is Whole Wheat bread that I served for my
Presentation in My Nutrition class. So I have been
pretty busy, just writing papers and baking for school.

They played great and had a lot of fun!

All the kids received a trophy for their participation.

Dance, Dance, Dance!

Austyn's first Dance Competition For the Year!
We went to Concord, Nh for the
National Dance Competition.
Her group was Fantastic!
This Costume is for the dance Girl Shoes.

In the pink bins, are women's high
heel shoes, they used them as a prop.
They actually won an award for the best use of
props, and the ability to do it themselves.

Here are all the girls in their donkey costumes.

Here is Austyn with all her ribbons and plaque
award. The girls get to keep the ribbons,
but the plaque stays at the studio.

The studio recently moved to the next town 15 minutes away, so we have to
drive twice a week, to get Austyn to dance. But that one day of watching her
have so much fun and a really good experience, as well as seeing her amazing
dance skills, It totally makes it worth all the time and energy we put into it.

CheeZ-it's and Pancakes!

The choice of food when we are not eating with JD is always pancakes for dinner. On this night the kids decided they would do the cooking. Austyn made the mix, and poured it onto the griddle. Then Wyatt came behind and did the flipping of the pancakes.



Sydnie was Quality Control. And it was her idea to add the Cheez-it's to go with the pancakes.


So cheez-it's, pancakes and orange juice for dinner, what kid wouldn't want to have that? Doesn't it make your mouth water just thinking about it? It is funny what kids can come up with when asked to plan a meal.......

Bowling with Syd!

So here it is the moment you have all been waiting for!
It's a little fuzzy, but not too bad for a first try right?

Family Bowling!

So this year we decided that we are going to be more adventurous
as a family. So for our first adventure we went bowling. We had a great
time! It took about 2-3 minutes for Syd's ball to actually get all the
way down the lane. So, between the five of us, it took about an hour
to get through one game,but that was enough. Here are some pics of the fun!

The Kids loved the shoes, they wanted to take
them home, so we had to get a picture!


So I have a really great video of Sydnie in action, but Blogger
is taking way to long to upload it, so I will try another day.

New Year cookie houses!

And so it began, the cookie recipe is really really tasty,
and I have not tried gingerbread, so sugar cookies it is.
Colored frosting and some candy, they are sure to be
masterpieces.



After about an hour of work they are finished!



I love the kids designs, and all the bright colors!



There was not enough room for HO HO HO, so,
we have Ho instead.



While the kids had fun and the houses did taste good
when we ate them a day later, A. informed me that they were
not REAL Ginger bread houses, because we used sugar cookies,
and maybe next time we should get the real recipe. What
can I say?
